Scoring, your way

Table shuffleboard is played in frames: only the team with the furthest weight scores, one to four points per weight depending on the zone (hangers count four), to 15 or 21. Enter each frame and the scoreboard keeps game score and standings current.

Score however fits your venue: the organizer enters frames from the admin screen, a tablet at each table runs an interactive scoreboard in kiosk mode, or turn on Player Scoring so teams submit from their own phones. Remote Mode controls every connected scoreboard and TV from one place.

Win–loss records, point differential and head-to-head history save to every player's profile, and an SPR (Scoreholio Player Rating) carries across events.

How to run a 16-player shuffleboard night

A weekly bar night: 16 players, four tables, rotating partners, done in about two hours.

  1. 1

    Create the tournament

Sport: table shuffleboard. Team generation: Switcholio. Tables: 4. Rounds: 5, games to 15.

  2. 2

    Get players in

Share the pre-registration link so people sign up ahead of time, or check walk-ups in by scanning their QR code.

  3. 3

    Start round one

Every player gets a push alert with their partner and table number.

  4. 4

    Score the games

A tablet at each table, or Player Scoring from players' phones. Standings update live on the bar TV; the next round generates when the last game ends.

  5. 5

    Split to a bracket

After five rounds, send the top 4 individual standings into a short single-elimination finish.

  6. 6

    Post the results

Standings and stats save to every player's profile automatically, and next week's night is one clone away.

Expect about 2 hours with games to 15. The tournament time calculator tunes rounds to your table count.

Common questions

How many tables do I need for 16 players?

For rotating doubles, 16 players is eight teams β€” four tables keeps everyone playing every round. With two tables, run two flights or cut rounds. The tournament calculator estimates total time.

Can we play to 21 instead of 15?

Yes β€” set the game target per tournament; the scoreboard handles frame scoring either way.

How do players score β€” do they need the app?

Three options: the organizer scores from the admin screen, tablets at each table run interactive scoreboards, or players score from their own phones with the free Scoreholio app (Player Scoring is part of the Competitive organizer level and up). Live standings show on any TV either way.

What does it cost to run a shuffleboard tournament?

The Social organizer level is free forever: round robins and brackets, digital scoreboards and dashboards, up to 8 courts and 32-team brackets. Competitive ($4.99/month) adds player phone scoring, game timers, custom alerts, live chat support and advanced stats; higher levels raise the court and bracket limits. Quick Tournaments (up to 16 players, 4 courts) are free for anyone with an organizer account. See pricing.

What do players and organizers need?

Players: a phone with the free Scoreholio app (iOS or Android) and an internet connection at the venue. Organizers can run everything from a phone, tablet or computer and put live standings on any TV. See supported devices.
