Code of Conduct

01 — Our Values

Everything we ask of our community flows from a few core principles:

• Respect: Treat every member of the community with dignity, whether you agree with them or not.
• Fairness: Compete and engage honestly. The integrity of the game matters.
• Safety: No one should feel threatened, harassed, or unsafe while using Scoreholio.
• Inclusion: Everyone is welcome regardless of age, race, gender, nationality, religion, disability, or background.
• Accountability: You are responsible for your own conduct and the content you post.

02 — Who This Code Applies To

This Code applies to all Scoreholio users worldwide, including:

• Anyone who downloads or uses the Scoreholio mobile app
• Anyone who accesses the Scoreholio website or online store
• Anyone who participates in Chat or Group Discussion features
• Anyone who posts, shares, or submits content through any part of the Service
• Event organizers and tournament administrators using Scoreholio tools

03 — Age Requirements

General Use

The Scoreholio app and website are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age or that you have obtained verifiable parental or guardian consent.

Chat and Group Discussion Features

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Chat and Group Discussion features. Users between 13 and 17 years of age should have parental awareness and consent prior to participating. If Scoreholio discovers that a user under the age of 13 is using these features, the account will be suspended and all associated content removed immediately.

Parents & Guardians: Parents and guardians are encouraged to monitor their children’s use of the Service and contact us at privacy@scoreholio.com if they believe a minor is using the Service inappropriately.

04 — Expected Conduct

All users are expected to:

• Engage respectfully and constructively with other users in all areas of the Service
• Provide accurate information when creating accounts, posting scores, or participating in events
• Respect the intellectual property rights of Scoreholio and other users
• Follow the rules of any event, tournament, or group they participate in
• Report conduct that violates this Code using the reporting tools provided
• Keep their account credentials secure and not share accounts with others

05 — Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited on all parts of the Service, including the Chat and Group Discussion features:

Harassment and Abuse

• Threatening, intimidating, stalking, or bullying any user
• Sending unsolicited offensive, sexual, or aggressive messages to other users
• Encouraging others to harass a specific user
• Posting or sharing content designed to demean, humiliate, or embarrass another person

Hate Speech and Discrimination

• Using slurs or language that attacks individuals based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age
• Promoting or glorifying hatred, violence, or discrimination against any group
• Posting or sharing content that dehumanizes people based on any protected characteristic

Cheating and Dishonesty

• Submitting false or manipulated scores, statistics, or game data
• Impersonating another user, tournament official, or Scoreholio staff member
• Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to manipulate the Service or its features
• Colluding with other users to gain an unfair advantage in competitions

Harmful or Illegal Content

• Posting content that is pornographic, sexually explicit, or inappropriate for a general audience
• Sharing content that promotes or depicts violence, self-harm, or dangerous activities
• Distributing malware, viruses, or any code designed to damage or disrupt the Service
• Posting content that violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law
• Sharing another person’s private information without their consent (“doxxing”)

Spam and Misuse

• Sending repetitive, unsolicited, or irrelevant messages in chat or discussion groups
• Using the Service for unauthorized commercial solicitation or advertising
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension or ban
• Attempting to scrape, harvest, or collect data from other users without authorization

Content Involving Minors

• Posting, sharing, or soliciting any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors
• Attempting to communicate with users known to be under 13 through the Chat features
• Any conduct that facilitates or encourages grooming or inappropriate contact with minors

06 — Chat & Group Discussion Rules

The Chat and Group Discussion features are intended to foster positive community interaction around scorekeeping, tournaments, and the games you love. The following additional rules apply:

• Keep conversations relevant to the group or discussion context where possible
• Do not share personal contact information (phone numbers, home addresses) publicly in chat
• Do not share sensitive information such as financial details, passwords, or government ID numbers in any chat
• Group administrators are responsible for moderating their own groups and should promptly remove content that violates this Code
• Scoreholio uses automated AI moderation tools to help detect and remove violating content. Automated decisions may be appealed by contacting support@scoreholio.com

07 — Identity, Naming, and Content Standards

Scoreholio users, players, organizers, clubs, leagues, teams, and organizations are expected to represent themselves accurately and use names, branding, logos, profiles, events, tournaments, discussions, images, posts, comments, and other content in a way that does not mislead, impersonate, harass, or confuse other users.

This standard applies to all user-generated content on Scoreholio, including player names, display names, club names, league names, organization names, tournament names, event names, team names, Group Discussions, posts, comments, images, logos, profiles, descriptions, and any other user-submitted content.

Users may not:

• Impersonate another player, organizer, club, league, organization, business, brand, sponsor, or Scoreholio.
• Create names, profiles, clubs, leagues, tournaments, events, teams, or content that falsely suggests official affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship, ownership, authorization, or approval.
• Use names, branding, logos, images, or descriptions that are likely to confuse users about identity, affiliation, ownership, sponsorship, endorsement, or authorization.
• Misrepresent an organization’s relationship with another organization.
• Use names, logos, branding, images, or content that infringes or may infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
• Knowingly use another person’s, business’s, club’s, league’s, or organization’s protected branding without authorization.
• Use vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, hateful, discriminatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive names or content.
• Create content intended to intimidate, shame, target, harass, or harm another person, organizer, club, league, business, or organization.
• Use names, branding, profiles, events, clubs, leagues, tournaments, discussions, posts, comments, images, or other content to deceive, scam, defraud, mislead, or confuse users.

Scoreholio may review reported or discovered content and may take action when we believe content violates these standards or creates confusion, safety concerns, or platform integrity concerns. Actions may include requesting changes, requiring additional differentiation between names or organizations, changing or removing content, changing displayed names, restricting visibility or functionality, suspending accounts, terminating accounts, or taking other appropriate action.

08 — Enforcement

How We Respond

Scoreholio takes violations of this Code seriously. Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, we may take any of the following actions at our sole discretion:

1. Issue a formal warning to the user
2. Remove or hide content that violates this Code
3. Temporarily restrict access to specific features, including Chat or Group Discussion
4. Suspend the user’s account for a defined period
5. Permanently delete the user’s account and all associated content
6. Report conduct to law enforcement where required or appropriate

Immediate Action: Scoreholio reserves the right to act immediately and without prior notice for serious violations, including content involving minors, credible threats of violence, or illegal activity.

Reporting Violations

If you witness conduct that violates this Code, please report it as follows:

• Use the in-app reporting tools where available
• Email our team at support@scoreholio.com with details of the incident
• Include as much context as possible, including usernames, screenshots, and dates

We review all reports and will take appropriate action. We may not be able to share details of the action taken due to privacy considerations, but we take every report seriously.

Appeals

If you believe your account was suspended or content removed in error, you may appeal by contacting us at support@scoreholio.com with the subject line “Code of Conduct Appeal.” Please include your username and a description of why you believe the action was taken in error. We will review appeals and respond within a reasonable time.

09 — AI-Powered Moderation

Scoreholio uses automated artificial intelligence tools to help monitor content in the Chat and Group Discussion features. These tools scan messages and content for potential violations of this Code and our Terms of Service. Automated flags may result in content being hidden pending human review, or in immediate removal for high-confidence violations.

We recognize that automated tools are not perfect. If you believe content was removed in error due to automated moderation, please contact support@scoreholio.com to request a manual review.

10 — Global Community Standards

Scoreholio operates as a global platform. Users in all countries are expected to comply with this Code regardless of local norms or laws. In addition, users must comply with all applicable laws in their jurisdiction. Conduct that is legal in one country may still violate this Code if it harms other users or undermines the community.

We are committed to providing a platform that is welcoming and accessible to users around the world, and we will enforce this Code consistently and fairly across all regions.

11 — Changes to This Code

Scoreholio may update this Code from time to time to reflect changes to our platform, community, or applicable law. We will post the updated Code on the Service and update the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Code.
